Catwalk Chic Courtyard Garden , Bronze Medal
Catwalk Chic Courtyard Garden , Bronze Medal
The ‘Catwalk’ garden was inspired by the world of fashion and was intended as a garden interpretation of a fashion show. The dramatic backdrop represented the theatrical stage set and entrance from backstage with the decking areas as the catwalk runway. The steel planters added to the drama of the set featuring Japanese Blood Grass to represent fire. The audience of celebrities and journalists were represented by the planting, a mix of strong colours and textures, all vying for attention!
We were extremely grateful to fashion designer Julien MacDonald who generously loaned one of his couture dresses which was kindly modelled by Jodie Kidd on the garden on Press Day.

I am thrilled to be a part of Alan Capper’s Catwalk garden! Inspired by my Super Paradise collection this Swarovski Crystal tropical print dress encapsulates the incredible garden Alan has created for this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Combining fashion and landscape gardening, glamour is everywhere and reflected in all aspects of this sexy design combination.
